To file a COMPLIMENT or COMPLAINT, citizens are encouraged to contact the Delaware Police Department by one of the following methods:

  • In person (preferred method) at the Delaware Justice Center (70 N Union Street Delaware, Ohio 43015) at any time, request to speak to the supervisor on duty, who will take the compliment or complaint.
  • By telephone at 740-203-1111 and request to speak with the supervisor on duty.

The Delaware Police Department is committed to providing professional service and takes all complaints about employee conduct seriously.

We accept and review all allegations of misconduct in accordance with department policy and all applicable laws. Community members may report concerns without fear of retaliation.

Investigators and supervisors will make every effort to complete personnel complaint investigations within one year from the date the misconduct is discovered by an authorized individual.

You may file a complaint anonymously; however, limited information may reduce our ability to thoroughly investigate.
