The Engineering Services division of the Public Works Department plans, designs, and builds infrastructure projects using local, state, and federal dollars.  Staff is responsible for working with the development community in the review of engineering plans for new residential, commercial and business projects, for designing and constructing municipal transportation projects, and for inspecting private construction activities occurring within the public right of way.  Engineering Division staff works closely with other city departments and several City Council-appointed boards and commission, including the Parking and Safety Committee and the Planning Commission.
