The City Manager is the City’s chief executive officer and is appointed by the City Council. 

Paul J. Brake is the City Manager. Brake oversees the operations of a full-service city that provides a variety of services and operations, including police and fire, a municipal airport, and water and wastewater utilities. The city workforce numbers nearly 400 and the operating budget is approximately $100 million. Brake is an accredited member of the International City/County Management Association.
