Electric Aggregation

electric aggregation updateThe City of Delaware’s Electric Aggregation Program, launched in July 2023, has delivered savings for residents and small businesses. Through the end of 2024, participants saved an average of 28% — more than $400 — compared to the default electric generation rates from Ohio Edison and AEP Ohio.

Continuing the program's success, the City signed a new agreement in April with Dynegy to serve as the electric aggregation supplier for a 12-month period, starting with the July 2025 billing cycle and running through June 2026.

Community members can contact Dynegy directly at 1-888-682-2170 any day of the week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. EST or email dynegycustomerservice@dynegy.com.

Voters approved electric aggregation in 2022, authorizing City Council to negotiate group electric supply pricing on behalf of residents and small businesses under Ohio Revised Code Section 4928.20.
