Matthew McClellan will take the oath of office at Monday night’s meeting of the City Council and assume the 3rd Ward seat left vacant by the resignation of Council member Cory Hoffman.

McClellan will be sworn in before the 7 pm meeting and then he and his six fellow council members will proceeded through the agenda. He was chosen Feb. 16 from a field of seven applicants who interviewed before Council. The term runs through November 2027.
