Updated Water Rates in 2026

Beginning with the January 2026 billing cycle (arriving in February), the City of Delaware will implement updated water rates, approved by City Council and designed to encourage conservation and support responsible water use.

What’s changing?

  •  New customer tiers: Most typical residential households will see little to no change in their bill, and many may notice a slight decrease.
  •  High-usage impacts: Customers who use significantly more water may see an increase based on their overall consumption.
  •  Master-metered and non-residential accounts: These customers will transition to a flat usage rate. Bills will adjust up or down depending on actual water use.

These updates are part of the City’s long-term effort to protect our water resources and ensure a reliable, sustainable system for everyone. Thank you for helping us use water wisely. If you have a question about your water rate, please phone 740-203-1250, option 4, or email utilitybilling@delawareohio.net.
