Youth Baseball and Softball

The City of Delaware is offering youth baseball and softball programs in 2021.

Baseball and softball registration opens February 8 at 8 am. The registration deadline is Saturday, March 6 at noon.

On-line registration and payment is available. Families wishing to register on-line, can fill out the registration found on this page and email it to our offices, and phone in the payment information to City of Delaware Customer Service at 740-203-1810. Registration and payment can also be filled out at home and, with payment, placed in either red drop-off box located at Mingo Park, 500 East Lincoln Avenue, or at City Hall, 1 S. Sandusky Street.

Baseball teams will play in the Buckeye Valley Summer Baseball League. Levels will be Coach Pitch (age 5-6), Pinto (7-8), Mustang (9-10), Little League (11-12) and Pony (13,14,15).

Softball teams will play in the Marion/Delaware County Girls Softball League. Levels will be U-8, U-10, U-12 and U-16. Rules for U-8, U-10, U-12 and U-16.

More Information: The City of Delaware is overseeing youth baseball and softball play for the first time since 2011. Both seasons were wiped out by COVID in 2020. Prior to that, the Central Ohio YMCA directed the programs for eight years.

Adult Softball

The registration deadline for men’s and co-rec leagues is April 9, 2021.  Seasons will begin in late April and run through the week of July 11.
