The City of Delaware soon will offer electronic filing of individual and business income tax returns, including employer withholding reconciliations. You must have an account with the City of Delaware income tax department to e-file a return. Non-resident individuals filing for a refund of Delaware tax withheld in error cannot e-file a return. For questions or more information regarding e-filing please email email@example.com.
This online tax tool enables City of Delaware residents and taxpayers to calculate and print a tax form, with the added option of e-filing a return. In order to use the tax tool, you will need your account number (Delaware tax ID number). You can find it on the tax form that is mailed to you in January. A search option is available on the tax tool if you do not know your account number.
Full-year Delaware residents may e-file their local income tax returns if they meet the following conditions:
- They had W-2 income only and lived in the City of Delaware for the entire year
- They are not requesting a refund or a carry forward of credit.
Residents and individuals with Schedule C, E, F, Form 2106, or K-1’s may not electronically file. They may use the tax tool to prepare their return. They must then print and mail their return to the City of Delaware postmarked by the tax filing deadline.
