Starting Service
Call 740-203-1250 x4 to sign up for services at least 24 hours prior to service date. For new accounts, a $50 deposit is required. The deposit is held for 24 months of ‘good payment,’ which means the account has been paid in full prior to the second-to-last working day of the month billed for 24 consecutive months. Once that is achieved, we will issue you a refund check.

Advanced Metering Infrastructure
By upgrading water meters with state-of-the-art equipment that City of Delaware will be able to remotely read meters and relay the data to its billing office. The project will deliver better customer service and overall improved efficiency. Read More here

Auxiliary Meter
An auxiliary – or secondary – meter will track the amount of water used for watering. This water does not get calculated in your sanitary sewer system fee, lowering your sewer charges. There is a charge of $8.35 per month for this meter. Contact the Utility Billing Office at 740-203-1250 x4 or click here to download the application packet.

Restarting Service
If water service is turned off, we will need access to the meter to turn water on during our meter crew’s business hours. (7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mon-Fri)

Bill Payment Options
You are able to pay your City utility bills with a debit or credit card, check, online or over the phone.

Ending Service
Contact the Utility Billing Office at 740-203-1250 x4 at least 24 hours prior to the date you request.
