Call 740-203-1250 x4 to sign up for services at least 24 hours prior to service date. For new accounts, a $50 deposit is required and held for 24 months of ‘good payment.’ This means that for 24 consecutive months the account has been paid in full prior to the second-to-last working day of the month. Once that is achieved, your deposit will then be applied to your utility account.
Advanced Metering Infrastructure
By upgrading water meters with state-of-the-art equipment, the City of Delaware will be able to remotely read meters and relay the data to its billing office. The project delivers better customer service and efficiency. Read More here
An auxiliary – or secondary – meter tracks the amount of water used for outside watering. This water is not calculated in your sanitary sewer system fee, lowering your sewer charges. There is a charge of $8.35 per month for this meter. Contact the Utility Billing Office at 740-203-1250 x4 or click here to download the application packet.
If water service is turned off, we will need to schedule an appointment to turn water on during our meter crew’s business hours. (7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mon-Fri)
Bill Payment Options
You can pay your City utility bills with a debit or credit card with a third-party company, online or over the phone.
Contact the Utility Billing Office at 740-203-1250 x4 at least 24 hours prior to the date you request.
