Now you are able to pay your Delaware City Utility Bills with Mastercard or Visa credit and debit cards, from your home; online or over the phone! The City has teamed up with Official Payments Corp. to facilitate this process. Official Payments Corp. charges a convenience fee for this process.
What you'll need to pay online:
- A Mastercard or Visa [debit or credit]
- Your Utility bill.
- Your City of Delaware Utility Customer number (##.####[#].#[#]). The '[#]' digits may not be applicable for your account number.
Here's what you'll do: [please read all instructions first!]
- From our website, click on the Official Payments or Mastercard/Visa symbols and it will take you to the Official Payments website.
- Select "Local Payments".
- Enter a Jurisdiction code of 4591, then click "Make Payment".
- Select Income Tax or Utility Bill payment from the drop-down. Click 'Continue'.
- Enter your payment amount. Click 'Continue'
- To continue, agree to the payments terms. For Utility payments, for each $300 or less payment, you'll be charged a fee of $3.
- Enter the required information and include an email address if you want a confirmation emailed to you. Click 'Continue'.
- Confirm your payment and information and click 'Submit'.
- Write down your confirmation number [if you didn't enter an email address above].
That's it! Official Payments also allows you to sign up so you don't have to enter all the information every time.
Select "My Account" from their webpage.
Click on link to open a new window to pay your tax or utility bill. You'll be able to revisit the instructions as necessary.
