Fees
Development Plan, Subdivision, Historic Preservation, & Zoning Review
All development plan, subdivision, and zoning review fees are established by a Schedule of Fees that is adopted by City Council.  These fees are due following preliminary review of the application and determination of the correct fees by a Planning Division Staff member.  Please do not include payment with an application submittal.  If you have any questions regarding the applicable fees please contact us.

Residential Permits
Residential permit fees are established by various sections of the Codified Ordinances.  These fees are due at the time a permit is ready to be picked up.  Please do not include payment with an application submittal.   If you have any questions regarding the applicable fees please contact us.

Commercial Permits
Similar to residential permit fees, commercial permit fees are also established by various sections of the Codified Ordinances.  These fees are due at the time a permit is ready to be picked up.  Please do not include payment with an application submittal.   If you have any questions regarding the applicable fees please contact us.

Impact
To ensure that new development pays a proportionate share of the cost of system improvements needed to serve the new development, the City of Delaware has adopted and implemented four Impact fees.  These include Fire/EMS, Police, Parks & Recreation, and Municipal Facilities.  All permits authorizing new construction and additions to existing non-residential structures are subject to Impact fees.  These fees are due at the time a permit is ready to be picked up.  Please do not include payment with an application submittal.   If you have any questions regarding the applicable fees please contact us.

Water & Sewer Capacity
Any permit that includes a connection to the City of Delaware water or sewer system is subject to a Capacity fee.  A Capacity fee may also be due in certain cases when consumption or discharge is increased from an existing connection.  The Capacity fee is set by City Council and administered by the Public Utilities and Engineering Services Departments.  For additional information on Capacity fees please visit the Public Utilities Department website.  If you have any questions regarding the applicable fees please contact us.

Other
It is likely that through the development plan, subdivision, and/or zoning review process(es) additional fees will be required and due at various milestones through the development/construction process.  Such fees include, but are not limited to; transporation improvement fees, in-lieu-of construction fees, park fees and/or improvements in-lieu-of land exaction, and tree replacement fees.  If you have any questions regarding these additional fees that may be applicable please contact us.
