The City of Delaware park system includes more than 15 locations. Each park has its own unique setting as well as facilities that cover a wide range of activities, hobbies, and interests. Whether it's relaxing under a tree, playing basketball or tennis, walking a trail, fishing, jogging, picnicking, or any number of other leisure activities, we have a park for you! Facilities are reserved on a first-paid first-served basis, after completion of the Facility Request Form and receipt of rental payment.

Outdoor Shelters
The following parks have shelters that can be reserved (includes amenities):
Mingo Park Rotary Shelter – electric, permanent restrooms, grill, seats 90 people
Blue Limestone Park – permanent restrooms
Lower Shelter – electric, grill, near playground, seats 90 people
Upper Shelter – grill, seats 36 people
Smith Park
North Shelter – electric, grill, near playground, seats 48 people
South Shelter – grill, near pond, seats 90 people
Riverview Park - electric, grill, seats 90 people
Eastside Park – electric, grill, near playground, seats 66 people

3-Season Shelter at Mingo Park
The 3-Season Shelter is an enclosed shelter available from March 1 through the end of October. This facility has a maximum capacity of 100 people and is equipped with large picnic tables, electrical outlets, ceiling fans, a drinking fountain, counter space with sink and running water, and a stone fireplace.

Hilborn Room
This multi-purpose room, located in the Mingo Park Complex, is available for rental by individuals, organizations, and businesses. It is ideal for meetings, family reunions, wedding receptions or showers, birthday parties, and much more. The room dimensions are 48” x 48” with a maximum capacity of 100 people. The kitchen is also available to rent for an additional fee. However, the kitchen is unavailable for use between May 1- October 1.
Facilities are reserved on a first-paid, first-served basis after submission of the Facility Request Form and receipt of rental payment. Reservations can be made up to one year ahead of time.

Mingo Recreation Center
The Recreation Center has two full size basketball courts where drop-in basketball is offered. Also, there is open walking starting at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, (13 laps equal 1 mile), and open volleyball on Sunday evenings starting at 6 p.m. Gym schedules are located here.
Mingo Recreation Center Rules and Regulation
- No cans or bottles of any kind (except water) permitted in gym area.
- Profanity, abusive language, fighting or roughness will not be permitted.
- No tobacco products of any kind.
- No rollerblades, skate board or bicycles.
- Proper gym attire required (gym shoes only on courts).
- No radios or boom boxes.
- No bouncing or throwing of balls in lobby or hallway of the Indoor Recreation Center Mingo Pool Complex.
- No loitering in the Mingo Complex lobby or hallways.
- Failure to observe the Indoor Recreation Rules will result in immediate expulsion and or suspension.
- Vandalism to any City property will result in immediate expulsion and prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
