The 13,000-square foot facility at Mingo Park addresses the needs of skaters, bikers and bladers, regardless of their skill level. The park, funded through a unique partnership with local businesses and organizations, and through the fund-raising efforts of community youths, provides street and transition elements as well as flow, while blending in with the current Mingo Park landscape. The skate park is open dawn to dusk, weather permitting.

The skate park amenities include: Bowl, various ramps, steps, rails, and half pipes

Skate Park Rules

(Unsupervised facility open to skate boards, bikes, and blades)

  • Skateboarding, skating and bike tricks are hazardous recreation activities.  Use of the facility may result in paralysis, brain damage, concussion, broken bones, other serious injuries, or death.  Any use of this facility is at your own risk.  The City does not assume any responsibility for injuries.
  • Know your abilities and skate within them.  Use of helmets and other safety equipment is strongly recommended.
  • No scooters or motorized vehicles of any kind.
  • No makeshift items or modifications (including paint) to existing facility are permitted.  RESPECT YOUR PARK.  PROTECT YOUR PARK.
  • All applicable park rules, City Ordinances, and laws will be enforced.  Privileges can be revoked for failure to adhere to these rules.  Report violations to the Police Department at 203-1111.
  • Do not use this facility when hazardous conditions exist (rain, snow, ice, damage, glass, etc)
  • Organized events must have written approval by the City.
  • Report facility damage to 203-1400
  • Skate park is open from sun up to sun down.
  • EMERGENCIES – Call 9-1-1 (payphone located in Recreation Office)

The City of Delaware is not liable in damages in civil action for injury, death, or loss to person or property allegedly caused by any act or omission of the political subdivision or an employee of the political subdivision in connection with a bicycle motocross facility or other type of recreational area or facility in which bicycling, skating, skate boarding, or scooter riding is engaged. (ORC 2744.01(C)(1)(u)(vi) and 7744.02 (A)(1)
