Community Affairs
The Community Affairs Office is a section of the City Manager's Office that serves as a centralized source of city information for the media, community, businesses, nonprofit organizations and city employees. The Office works with city departments to plan media relations, special events, citizen participation, advertising, community outreach and content for the city's Web site.

Resources for journalists
The Community Affairs Office is a liaison for local, regional and national media on behalf of the city and is available to assist reporters in answering questions about city departments and activities, or obtaining more information about a news release or event. The mayor and members of city council conduct their own communications. Reporters and the public should contact elected officials directly when seeking comment from them.
