The City of Delaware Fire Department operates three fire stations. The main station, at 99 South Liberty Street, was opened in 1972 and houses the administrative offices. Station 302, at 683 Pittsburgh Drive, opened in 1997. Station 303, 1320 West Central Avenue, opened in 2013. The City of Delaware Fire Department provides both advanced life support and fire protection. The department utilizes two ambulances and an engine crew as first responders for emergency medical services for its customers.
